Mission New England 2013

We are excited to be partnering with Norwich Alliance Church (Norwich, CT) in hosting a regional training event focused on the proclamation of the Gospel in our daily lives.

Mission New England

We often struggle with making the gospel a part of our daily lives, let alone something that we will share with those we work with, go to school with or see at the local super market. The topic of this Gospel Alliance Regional is Mission New England. As Christians here in New England, we are called to live out and proclaim the truth of Jesus to those around us, it is not someone else’s job. Join us March 2nd as we gather in Norwich CT with pastor Rob Burns, Real Life Philly, as we look at the message of the gospel and why we should proclaim it. This one day event, hosted by Norwich Alliance Church, will help us as the church learn more about the message we are to proclaim and how we are to proclaim it. Registration is open now and is only $10 for groups of 5 or more and $12 per person, until Feb 27th. For all the details scroll down.

Session Descriptions -
Session 1 – “A Gospel Worth Proclaiming” – What the Gospel is? Why would we proclaim it?
We often use the word “gospel” and assume that everyone knows what we mean. Often it is helpful for us to be called back to examine what the core pieces of the Gospel are and what the implications should be if we say we believe it.  What are the past, present, and future effects and meanings of the person and truth of Jesus.
Session 2 – “What is Proclamation?” Declaration and Demonstration (words and Deeds)
What does it mean to have our head, heart, and hands all in line with what we believe in the Gospel. We consistently bend towards an extreme of either Demonstration or Declaration.  Jesus declares that the world will know that we believe what we say when our lives are re-oriented around the truth of Who God is, What has He done, and Who does that make Us.
Session 3 – “Everyday Living” – What does it look like to live the everyday with Gospel Intentionality
As we look at all of life being shaped by the Gospel it can very easily overwhelm us to think about how much we think we need to add to our lives and schedules.  Let’s think about the fact that a “gospel shaped life” is rather one where we recognize God’s leading in all the things that are already present in our lives and His calling to live all of life with Gospel Intentionality.
